Tigers!
Tigers! They are some cool animals. However, thanks to us humans, they are now endangered. In the last century, the tigers' population almost became 0%. This is a non-fiction piece of writing all about tigers and many things you may not know about them. While I was doing research to write this, I learned many things that I didn't even know like, how tigers mark territories, how many species there were e.t.c.. Why would I choose this topic? Well, for starters, I seemed to think that tigers were just plain a cool animal, but I also thought that if I teach other about this, just maybe they wouldn't be so critically endangered. Okay, I will stop blabbering so that I don't give too much away, and I hope you find tigers as interesting as me. Happy reading (which might take a bit of time, but anyway, enjoy)!
Wow! I really liked your NF writing because it hd so many details so now, I feel like I am a tiger expert! The pictures with short captions also helped a lot. I hope more and more people will start making changes because 95% of tiger were extinct in the last century(holy moley)! I now also think that tigers are amazing animals. I think your NF piece helped A LOT. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI like how you added some of tigers history. I can't believe anyone would want to kill such a beautiful animal just for its fur! I like how you show the stages of how a tiger hunts. Wow, tigers can jump up 30 feet in a single bounce! I'd never want to get a full grown tiger angry! I love your non-fiction writing piece!
ReplyDeleteI loved it! One thing to look at though, is that when you were talking about The White Tiger, in the last sentence you wrote is instead of in. Overall, great job!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the reason why you choose to write about tigers, Anushka. I loved every minute spent reading your NF piece. You had me hooked with your thoughtful intro and it was clear what you were going to cover in your writing. It seems like you took every text feature we discussed and found a way to integrate it into your piece. Pictures with captions, maps, facts about tigers...you did this seamlessly! Your writing was well thought out and organized. You elaborated on each section so that I was left with zero questions. Overall kiddo, you did a fantastic job with this writing piece. A LOT to be proud of!!!
