Drama Reflection

After my performance, I thought we all did pretty well. Thing things were better than others, but overall I think we did our best and rocked it. I believe that my projection was pretty good (the audience could hear me), but I possibly could have been too loud. I could work on a softer voice. I don't think that I sounded boring, and my pitch changed at the right moments. So, I say that my vocal variety was okay. My facial expressions are pretty good. I should probably try to really show emotion and feelings on my face though. Along with that, I should have an expression when I stand still. My group and I messed up a bit, sometimes noticeable and sometimes not, but everyone was a great sport and went along smoothly, like nothing had happened. Also, whenever one of us got off stage, we gave each other big smiles. Neutral Actors

You know those people who are standing, walking or doing anything in the background in a TV show? I bet that you hardly pay attention to them. That's because their jobs are to make the main character/s stand out. In drama, we were supposed to watch TV for 10 minutes and half the time, without sound so that we could focus on the neutrals. I chose the show "Lab Rats". A few observations that I made... That neutral actors are sometimes just murmuring and you can barely hear them. They are just there for background noise. Occasionally, you can hear a word like "yeah!" but otherwise, not much.  The main characters' outfits have bright and flashy colors that easily stand out since the neutral actors have mostly the same colors and are dull.  If you pay attention, you can see that there aren't tons of neutrals and you can recognize some because they come again and again.  The neutrals are sometimes blurred but other times in focus if they want to ...
