September- Overcoming Challenges

Pancakes would be a pretty straight forward breakfast to cook, right? However, things went wrong for my group when none of us could flip a pancake without completely ruining it. It surprised us, because at first we thought that we were just unexperienced, but soon realised that it wasn't the case. Our batter was much too thin, because we hadn't quite followed the recipe. We hadn't communicated and accidentally put in milk twice. We were careful after that incident, and we haven't had any problems with that since. On my plate, most of the pancakes looked like "roadkill", but we did get one good pancake in!

October- Awesome Taste

This is a picture of all of the foods we made in the breakfast competition, and they all were unique in their own way. I really liked my breakfast though, because it's easy and creative. I made the egg stuffed bell pepper, and those two ingredients went together really well, along with different sauces. I don't even like bell pepper, and I loved this! Another thing about it was that a teacher came over and complimented us because we had made it gluten free.

November- Perfect Plating

This soups and salads unit was concluded by our soups/salad competition. My partner was Sharon, and we made a fruit salad. It tasted really good, but I loved how pretty it looked on the plate. Even though I didn't arrange it in a particular way, I loved how there were so many different colors which made the fruit salad look vibrant. I felt that the image reflected the taste, which was sour and sweet.
