Tennis Reflection

Are you in a forward facing ready position?
I am in a ready position, with my chest facing forward, however I need to bend my knees a bit more. I also think I need to be in a more flexible position.

When the ball comes, do you move by dropping your racket foot back?
Yes, I drop my foot back and then step forward with my other foot.

Do you have a steady wrist?
Yes, because my racket swings through smoothly.

Do you start stroke low, then swing up and over the ball to impart topspin to the ball?
I do start low and swing up, but I hit the ball at a lower level here.

Two things I think I am doing well with my forehand swing are…
Keeping my wrist firm, because my racket doesn't really waver much. It just glides through and hits the ball.

Another thing is that I am prepared to hit the ball at waist level, although this ball was a little lower than what I had anticipated. I started going higher with my racket, but then lowered it quickly so that I didn't miss the ball.

Two things I’d like to work on with my forehand swing are…
My follow through, because I sort of go sideways when I hit the ball. I need to hit the ball a little harder and turn my racket so that I don't hit the ball sideways.

Also, before each shot, I expect it to come at waist level. I need to have a better position so that I can hit the ball properly without missing. I do a arm flick before hitting because I am not very used to tennis rackets, and that is ruining my swing, so I need to steady my arm more.
