Factor Rainbow or Tree?

A factor rainbow can be helpful. A factor tree can also be helpful. However, when is the factor rainbow better than the tree? This was the question I am required to answer from math class. Sometimes, A factor tree can really help with GCF ( greatest common factor) and LCM (least common multiples) in math, but tell me, does it help find ALL factors of a number? However, if you are asked to find all factors of a number using a factor rainbow, which naturally lists all factors, what would happen then? You would certainly find all of the factors! With a factor tree though, you won't get as many factors and you will take much longer. When you are supposed to find all the factors of one number, that is the time to use a factor rainbow.
