You Need a Beginning to Have an End!

This story begins with a whoosh of the wind and sparkles getting scattered everywhere.
"Gigi! Why are there sparkles?" Jojo asked.
"You and your little kid fairy tails, go back to sleep!" the half asleep Gigi moaned. Jojo crawled up to the window next to their tiny bunk bed. Her eyes searched around outside. Yep. The grass was still looking pink and it was shimmering in the moonlight. Where would sparkles be coming from? Out of the corner of her eye, she glimpsed a shadow running away. Running? Jojo wasn't even sure if it was running. Was it... g...ga...gall...gallop...galloping? Jojo knew enough to know that they were nowhere near the woods or any habitat for an animal. Her teddy bear slipped from her hand while she was in those dazzling thoughts. She crouched down to pick it up and she heard leaves rustling outside. Her head popped up through the window.
Jojo saw the most amazing thing in her life. It was a real, live unicorn in her back yard! Her mane (or actually his, but Jojo has the impression that unicorns are all girls) was a bright rainbow against her white body with a tail of all the colors you can imagine. The eyes were limpid pools of blue and looked oh so adorable. The horn was sparkly and a beautiful, foamy blue color. The unicorn was just like Jojo's dream pet in her mind. The unicorn didn't even look up. Jojo was too excited to even think about what she was doing.
She opened the window with a long bam! Slipping her feet out, she pushed herself out of the house. A gruff hand grabbed her green pajamas and pulled her back in. Jojo slowly turned around, meeting an annoyed sister.
"What do you think you are even doing?" Gigi whisper-yelled. Jojo opened her mouth, but Gigi interrupted her. "Oh I'm sorry." Gigi said in a mocking tone, "did you really think that you were allowed to go outside AT NIGHTTIME?" Gigi expected to see a sheepish smile, but Jojo only nudged her to the window. Gigi's mouth fell open. "That can't... but...it...why...how...who...whaaaaaa?" she stammered while collapsing onto her bed. Finally, the shaken 10 year old began to scream. When she finished, the house was eerily quiet. Why didn't mom and dad come? The unicorn signaled for them to come. Quivering, Gigi went to the window and hopped out. She wasn't falling though. She was in pink swirl of glittery light which was emanating from the unicorn's horn.
"The world is in need of you" a voice boomed.
"What? Who are you?" Gigi asked in a mouse sized voice.
"When the time comes, you will know, but I think that your sister is aware. Come with me."
Gigi was surprised to find Jojo next to her. They were planted on the unicorn's back and galloped away. Lester, the unicorn chatted often and it took no time for Gigi to figure out who's voice it was. Lester knelt down under a tree, letting the girls off. "I think it is time for me to explain everything.
Long, long ago...
                                                                            Lester
Long, long ago there was a kingdom. The queen was the sweetest maiden I had ever known and the king was a fantastic ruler. I was the royal stallion. They often went on rides with me, and especially the Wavy Valley. One day, I took them too far into the valley. They were really enjoying it until one of the servants disappeared. It was a purple wave of dust that was swallowing the people there whole. I ran as fast as I could with the rulers of the kingdom on my back. My legs were aching, but I couldn't stop. A piece of glass was hurled through the mist and struck our dear king. His cry is still stuck in my head. His royal water spilled all over him.
I returned to the castle with the queen, who died of a broken heart, the people grieved but soon got back into place. A new king was appointed. However, I was never happy. It was my fault that the king and queen lost their lives. I shouldn't have gone so deep in the forest just for some praise."
Lester paused and got lost in bad memory for a second. He took a deep breath and continued. "I got on with my life and soon lost my state of depression. Until now. I went to take a dip in the Jillo Ocean, and a monster roared and popped out of the water. I recognized the face. It was the very king. As soon as he learns that there is land, he will be ruining Earth. That is why I came to you. This was all my fault and I had to fix it, so I looked around for the one who has the power to do this job. It was like a golden glow coming from your house. I don't know how or why, but it was you. I could feel it. You aren't magical yet, but the powers are deep down inside you, within your super hearts."
Lester leaned over and whispered to Jojo that Gigi may take longer than she does to unlock them. Gigi glared at them. Lester went back the story. "Sorry, but it is true that you will take longer than Jojo. I have stopped time for your parents so that they won't get worried. You are the ones who will be able stop this guy, and possibly save him. Oh, we might meet the new king on the way, and remember that he might be, well, kind of irritating." The sun began to peek over the horizon. Soon, they were up and running to Jillo Ocean.
Finally, they reached the edge of the beach. The water wasn't all that deep. Suddenly, a giant wave crashed onto them, making them tumble everywhere. They found themselves on a small, wooden boat, floating in the sea. They had no idea where they were. The sky turn gray and a black creature appeared. Gigi hid in the boat. Jojo, though, didn't think hiding was a good idea. Maybe this thing was good!
"Hey Mister Monster! What d'ya want?" she yelled. The creature whirled around and showed its dagger sharp tongue and blood red eyes. Jojo picked up some sand in the middle of the boat and threw it. The creature made a terrible noise as the sand burned its skin. He charged like a wild bull and hit the boat with great force. Gigi looked up. Lester was struggling in the creature's palm and Jojo was using her ballpoint pen to poke the monster's skin. A big hand swooped down and grabbed Jojo by the leg. Jojo began screaming.
Gigi immediately stood up and grabbed a handful of sand, throwing it into the monster's mouth. The creature hissed and became smaller.
" I WILL KILL YOU FOR THAT," it yelled. Jojo had slipped away. She threw sand into the monster's other hand, which was trapping Lester. As soon as Lester got out, he pierced the monster's skin with his horn and Jojo threw sand into that hole that Lester made. Lasers suddenly shot out of Jojo's eyes, but the monster blocked them so Jojo kicked the monster with all her might and electricity shot through him. Gigi got up. She didn't know why her powers hadn't come yet, but it was really time for her to fight, not just come out when she had to. Jojo electrifying and laserifing the monster. Lester was poking him with his horn. Gigi went up and punched him. The monster glared. He had the biggest frown ever on his face. This was such a ridiculous day. She just smiled. The monster covered his eyes and fell backward. Gigi threw sand at him. The sand transformed into a purple ball of light, and when it hit the monster, he roared endlessly until he turned to wood with two hands peeking above the surface.
After the celebration and blah blah blah, they decided to go and live there so that they could explore more places. Many people agreed and went along. Gigi and Jojo's powers died down. I guess they would come back the next time they were in battle. They all lived happily on the monster's hands.

P.S. Things went well, until they found the angry soul of the queen. Comment below to tell me about the story of the battle with the angry queen!

  1. I think this is a really good story. I wouldn't changed anything. I would have never thought of writing anything like it. Good job!
